Double sided stuff sack demo – video
Posted by Claire Walters on Dec 6, 2012 in DIY, Hammock/Backpacking Tips | 1 commentDouble-sided stuff sacks and Bishop Bags are a great way to pack hammocks.
With two openings, each side of the hammock can be accessed. Clip on side of the hammock to your suspension system (tree straps, etc.) with the both sides of the stuff sack closed. Next, open the draw cord of the unhooked side and “reveal” the hammock as you walk to the other suspension system and complete the set-up. The stuff sack remains connected to the hammock on one end, making it easy to draw up and re-pack. Leave the stuff-sack side hooked to the suspension and pack from the other side.

I removed the stuff sack from my SBP today. Cut a small hole and used a grommet kit in it. Removed the steel biner and threaded the cord through the hole, put on some good climbing biners, and it was good to go. Plus I was able to fit my tree slings in there, too. Did it right after I saw this. Thanks for the video. This is fantastic.
